All-New Subaru Solterra — Subaru’s First Global All-Electric Vehicle

The 2023 Subaru Solterra electric SUV is the brand’s first global all-electric vehicle. The electric SUV represents the natural evolution of Subaru all-weather, all-road performance and was given its name “Solterra” by combining the Latin words for “Sun” and “Earth.” The model is the next generation of Subaru SUV capability and represents Subaru’s commitment to delivering traditional SUV capabilities in an environmentally responsible package.

The model is designed as a joint venture between Subaru and Toyota and combines Subaru’s expertise in all-wheel-drive technology with Toyota’s vehicle electrification technology. The model is built on the e-Subaru Global Platform which is the new all-electric vehicle architecture platform. The Solterra EV brings the Subaru brand’s trusted reliability, state-of-the-art safety technology, and legendary all-wheel-drive engineering to an environmentally responsible all-electric SUV that will be joining Subaru’s award-winning line-up of SUVs including the Outback, Forester, Crosstrek, and Crosstrek Plug-in Hybrid.
