Competition Subaru of Smithtown was thrilled to partner once again with Pawsitive Possibilities Rescue, Inc. for our annual Pet Adoption Event and Pet-Supply Drive! 🐾 This year's event, held on October 13th, was filled with heartwarming moments as we celebrated our shared love for animals and made a positive impact on the lives of many pets in need. With the incredible team from Pawsitive Possibilities Rescue, Inc. by our side for the second year in a row, we were proud to contribute to Subaru Loves Pets' record-breaking number of adoptions in 2024! The day featured adoptable pets eagerly waiting for their forever homes, a successful pet-supply drive, and plenty of fun festivities for everyone to enjoy. For every pet adopted, we donated $100 to the #SubaruLovesPets charity, helping support the amazing work Pawsitive Possibilities does for animals in our community. Subaru Loves Learning Month is all about giving back to the community by focusing on the importance of education. Throughout August, we humbly requested donations alongside our commitment to supporting the students and staff at Anthony Alfano Elementary School. One of the highlights of this year’s initiative was our recent visit to the school, where we hand-delivered a plethora of supply kits for local students. From notebooks and pencils to art supplies and stationary, we provided essential materials that foster creativity, critical thinking, and a love for learning for life. Our visit to Anthony Alfano Elementary School allowed us to see firsthand the impact of our contributions. By directly delivering these much-needed supplies, we were able to connect with the students and teachers in a meaningful way. The excitement and appreciation shown to the local educational community reinforces the power of education and shows the difference that a supportive community can make. Alternatives for Children is a not-for-profit private school that provides educational experiences to a broad spectrum of children from across Long Island. With locations in Aquebogue, East Setauket, Dix Hills, and Southampton, they are at the forefront of this mission on Long Island. Every year, Alternatives for Children holds a rally as a fundraiser for their amazing efforts.
