At Competition Subaru, we’re proud to support Paws of War, a Nesconset-based nonprofit dedicated to making a difference for pets and wildlife in need. Their latest mission has taken them to Los Angeles, where their team is working tirelessly to help animals affected by the ongoing fires. Paws of War is setting up feeding stations for cats and dogs in affected areas, ensuring they have access to food and water. They’re also supplying pet oxygen masks to local fire departments and partnering with other organizations to rescue animals in danger. To help reunite pets with their families, Paws of War has created a missing animal hotline and established foster care networks for displaced animals. In addition to emergency aid, Paws of War is arranging transportation for animals from overcrowded shelters and coordinating resources to keep them safe and cared for. Their efforts have already saved countless lives and brought comfort to families in need. Beyond disaster relief, Paws of War also focuses on supporting veterans by providing service animals, veterinary care, and resources that strengthen the bond between people and their pets. Competition Subaru of Smithtown was thrilled to partner once again with Pawsitive Possibilities Rescue, Inc. for our annual Pet Adoption Event and Pet-Supply Drive! 🐾 This year's event, held on October 13th, was filled with heartwarming moments as we celebrated our shared love for animals and made a positive impact on the lives of many pets in need. With the incredible team from Pawsitive Possibilities Rescue, Inc. by our side for the second year in a row, we were proud to contribute to Subaru Loves Pets' record-breaking number of adoptions in 2024! The day featured adoptable pets eagerly waiting for their forever homes, a successful pet-supply drive, and plenty of fun festivities for everyone to enjoy. For every pet adopted, we donated $100 to the #SubaruLovesPets charity, helping support the amazing work Pawsitive Possibilities does for animals in our community. We also received generous donations, including cleaning supplies, blankets, pet food, and more, all of which will go directly to supporting the shelter. Thank you to everyone who attended, donated, and helped make this event such a success! Since 2008, Competition Subaru of Smithtown is proud to support the Subaru Love Promise s: Subaru Loves Pets! As 1 of over 600 efficient Subaru dealerships working hand-in-hand with Subaru of America, our Saint James, New York dealership cannot be happier to continue to support our furry friends of all shapes and sizes! Freshly confirmed for 2024, a record number of pet adoptions occurred during October 2023's Subaru Loves Pets initiative! With more than 600 adoption events taking place nationally during Subaru Loves Pets Month 2023, over 52,000 adorable shelter pets found their fur-ever homes! During October, 2023, participating Subaru dealerships, Competition Subaru of Smithtown included, donated more than 1.8 million dollars to hundreds of local shelters, rescues and pet organizations! Each pet that was adopted was transmuted into a $100 donation from the local dealership to the specified partnered shelter. In 2023, Competition Subaru proudly partnered with Pawsitive Possibilities Rescue, Inc., in 2022, we partnered with For Our Friends Rescue in Bayside, New York, and in 2020, more than 20,000 furry friends were taken to their new families! Additionally, Subaru USA contributed $20 to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals ( ASPCA) for every Subaru Pet-Friendly Accessory ( pet harnesses, seat protectors, travel bowls) sold via the Subaru Parts Online Store! Each "Animal" badge ordered through the Subaru Badge of Ownership Program resulted in Subaru USA donating $1/purchase to the ASPCA as well! Competition Subaru of Smithtown cannot adequately express how wonderful it is to participate in the Subaru Love Promise as well as how incredible it is to receive multiple Subaru Love Promise Awards for many consecutive years!
