One Tree Planted

One Tree Planted is a non-profit environmental charity that focuses on global reforestation. One Tree Planted is on a mission to make it easier for individuals and businesses to give back to the environment, create a healthier climate, protect biodiversity, and help reforestation all around the world – all by planting trees!

ONE DOLLAR. ONE TREE.

One Tree Planted began its mission in 2014 and since then, they have more than doubled the number of trees planted year over year.

By teaming up with reforestation partners in North America, South America, Asia, and Africa, they are able to plant trees to restore forests after fires and floods, create jobs, build communities, and protect habitat for biodiversity. In 2019, One Tree Planted was able to get 4 million trees in the ground!

Why Planting Trees Is Important

Now you may be wondering… why trees? One Tree Planted explains why trees are so vital and important for the environment. Trees help clean the air we breathe, filter the water we drink and provide habitat to over 80% of the world’s terrestrial biodiversity. They also provide jobs to over 1.6 billion people, absorb harmful carbon from the atmosphere, and are key ingredients in 25% of all medicines.

There are so many ways individuals around the world can join the mission for the reforestation, conservation, and protection of forests around the world. Every dollar plants one tree. Individuals can donate, create a fundraiser, or even join a community to help make a difference.
