How To Clean Your Subaru Auto Interior
When it comes to cleaning your Subaru auto, it’s important to pay just as much attention to the interior as you do to the exterior. Although the exterior may be the only thing most people will see of your car, the interior is where you will spend your time on the road, so you want to make sure it’s as clean and comfortable as possible. In this guide, we give you some top tips for cleaning your Subaru auto interior.
Cleaning the Floors
Chances are, dust has accumulated on the surfaces of your interior over time. If you frequently stash equipment in your backseat or eat in your car, you may also find that a few stray wrappers or small items have made their way underneath the seats. To clean the floors of your Subaru auto, you will first need to remove any car mats you have and use a vacuum to clean the floors. Mats can be cleaned separately outside of your car.
Cleaning the Seats
If you have pets who travel with you frequently, you will find that their hairs are a problem. To tackle this problem, first start with a lint roller or squeegee with a rubber blade that can remove most of the hairs. Then, use a vacuum to get the job done. Once any visible traces of dust, dirt, grime and hairs have been removed, use a damp cloth and a minimal amount of soap to wipe down the seats. You may want to finish this up by drying with another piece of cloth.
Cleaning the Upholstery
Depending on whether you have cloth or leather upholstery, the cleaning process will be slightly different:
- Cloth upholstery: The best way to tackle cloth upholstery is to start with vacuuming before using a soft brush to dislodge any small pieces of dust or unreachable hairs. Wipe down with a mildly damp cloth and use some mild soap if necessary.
- Leather upholstery: With leather upholstery, it’s ideal to carry out regular cleaning to ensure that the material doesn’t wear out prematurely. This can be often as once every month. Start with vacuuming before using a soft lint-free cloth to catch any small pieces of dirt or hair missed by the vacuum. After which, you can wipe down the upholstery with warm water and mild soap, but make sure not to let it soak in.
