2020 Subaru Outback Touring Wagon

Car and Driver Magazine shares with us how the 2020 Subaru Outback Touring Wagon Will Not Be Rushed. The redesigned sixth-generation Outback will have an overall similar feel to previous Subaru wagons.

Equipped with a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) programmed with eight virtual gears. Its 2.5-liter boxer-four engine produces a standard 182-hp. The XT models are equipped with the turbocharged 2.4-liter flat-four that produces 260-hp.

Looking at equipment levels, the Outback Touring model is very similar to the Touring XT. The Outback has a list of additional options including heated and ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and java-brown nappa leather upholstery.

The Touring model upgrades itself from the standard dual 7.0-inch console screens for one big 11.6-inch central touchscreen. The touchscreen is designed with simple menus that make accessing different settings and media easy.

Subaru’s camera-based driver assistance known as “EyeSight” is standard on all Outbacks and includes adaptive cruise control and lane centering. Another really highly advanced feature is the system’s ability to wake you up if you space out at a traffic light. If you are stopped at a light and the cameras notice the car infront of you pull away, the system will wait a moment and then alert you.
